About the Inventor

Hi. Lyle Johnson here - Owner/CEO of J&J Enterprise Specialty Merchandisers and inventor of the E-Z Line Clamp & Cutter. I have been a fisherman for as long as I can remember. My dad put a fishing pole in my hand for the first time at the age of 18 months old and caught my first fish and it's been there ever since. Through the years growing up fishing has been my second love - every chance I got it was off to the favorite fishing holes. Even at the age of 57 and living in Alaska the last 15 years, fishing is always there in the back of my mind. So the best thing I can say to all those who love fishing as much as I do is "Fish On" - it's the ultimate high.

Why the E-Z Line Clamp was Invented

I came up with the idea back in a little town of Prineville, Oregon back in 1991 and being a avid fisherman that has purchased many spools of fishing line. And after all those years of having to deal with that so called rubber band breaking and putting it back in the tackle box and the next time I took it out there would be an unraveled mess every where. It came time to do something about it. Introducing to all you Sport Fishermen the "E-Z Line Clamp and Cutter." No more unraveling spools. The clamp has a convenient slot to feed the line through and a cutter that cuts it off to any desired length and holds the line in place.
